Toes in the sand, none of the hauling

Naples Beach Gear Rentals

Chairs, umbrellas, cabanas and paddleboards delivered to your condo, hotel or beach access, so you show up with just a book and sunscreen.

BEACHGEAR RENTALS · NPL

Here's a small Naples secret: you don't have to haul a carload of chairs, umbrellas and coolers across the country to enjoy the beach. A handful of local outfits will drop the whole kit at your condo, hotel or vacation rental, then come back and collect it when you're done. Show up to the sand with sunscreen and a book, and let someone else carry the heavy stuff.

It's the easiest upgrade to a Naples beach day, and it's especially handy if you're flying in or staying somewhere walkable. Below are the operators we'd actually use, what they tend to include, and a few honest tips for picking the right one before you settle in at Lowdermilk Park or any of the other strands in our Beaches & Outdoors guide.

BUNDLES · DOCKSIDE, NAPLES

Beach chair & Tommy Bahama bundles

Several local shops rent brand-new Tommy Bahama folding chairs and umbrellas as daily bundles, often alongside paddle boards and cruiser bikes. As a rough guide we've seen two chairs around $29/day, two chairs plus an umbrella near $39/day, and chair-umbrella-paddleboard combos in the $95-$135/day range, but prices move, so treat those as ballpark and confirm at booking.

FULL SERVICE · CABANAS

Naples Beach Cabanas

The splurge option. These are concierge setups: the crew delivers a shade cabana or umbrellas, chairs, towels, a blanket, a cooler with ice and even a Bluetooth speaker, sets it all up before you arrive and breaks it down after. They serve public beaches like Naples Municipal and Vanderbilt, plus private residences for events. Pricing is by package, so ask for a quote.

ON THE WATER · BOARDS & KAYAKS

Paddleboard & kayak delivery

Several of the same companies will drop a stand-up paddleboard or kayak at your beach access along with the chairs, which is the painless way to get on the calm Gulf water without strapping anything to a roof. Single boards tend to run around $65/day with multi-board and multi-day discounts. Always confirm life-jacket inclusion and that conditions are calm before you launch.

Just need a cheap chair?

If you're only here a day or two, a discount store run can be cheaper than a rental. Big-box and beach shops along U.S. 41 stock folding chairs, foam boogie boards, sand toys and umbrellas for not much money. The catch is you're carrying and storing it yourself, and an umbrella that isn't anchored well will take flight in a Gulf breeze.

Good to know: Most delivery outfits ask you to book a day ahead, especially on season weekends, and many cover specific zones (Vanderbilt, Clam Pass, Lowdermilk, Old Naples) with a surcharge beyond them. Always confirm the delivery area, drop-off time, what's included and current pricing directly with the operator, since rates and coverage change with the season.
How to choose

Pick the right setup

  1. Decide where it's going. Door delivery to your condo lets you set up at your pace; beach-access delivery means it's waiting on the sand. Either way, confirm the operator covers your spot.
  2. Match the gear to the day. Two chairs and an umbrella is plenty for a relaxed morning; add a board or kayak if you want time on the water; go full cabana service for a special occasion.
  3. Book ahead in season (roughly December through April). The good slots and zones fill, and last-minute delivery isn't guaranteed.
  4. Ask about anchoring. A good umbrella with a sand auger or sandbags survives the afternoon sea breeze; a cheap one becomes a hazard. Reputable rentals set theirs properly.
  5. Go early. Naples faces west onto the Gulf, so mornings are calm and uncrowded, midday is hottest, and the same chairs make a front-row seat for the sunset over the water.

Common questions

Can I get beach chairs delivered to my Naples hotel or condo?

Yes. Several local outfits, including Naples Beach Chairs by Naples Electric Bikes, deliver chairs, umbrellas and other gear straight to homes, condos and hotels across Naples and Bonita Springs, with free delivery and pickup in their service area. Others drop your setup right at the beach access. Confirm the coverage zone and any delivery fee when you book.

How much does it cost to rent beach chairs and umbrellas in Naples?

As a rough guide we've seen two chairs around $29 a day, two chairs plus an umbrella near $39, and chair-umbrella-paddleboard bundles in the $95-$135 range. Full-service cabana setups are priced by package and cost more. Prices change with the season and operator, so treat these as ballpark and confirm current pricing at booking.

Do Naples rental companies deliver paddleboards and kayaks too?

Many do. The same companies that bring chairs will often drop a stand-up paddleboard or kayak at your beach access, which saves strapping anything to a car. Single boards tend to run around $65 a day with multi-board and multi-day discounts. Ask whether life jackets are included, and only launch when the Gulf is calm.

Should I rent beach gear or just buy a cheap chair?

If you're here a day or two, a discount-store folding chair and umbrella can be cheaper than renting, though you carry and store it yourself, and a poorly anchored umbrella will blow away in the Gulf breeze. For longer stays, no car, or a hassle-free day, delivery rentals are usually worth it, and full cabana service is the easy splurge.

What is the best time of day for the Naples beach?

Naples faces west onto the Gulf, so mornings are calm, cooler and uncrowded, midday is the hottest and busiest, and late afternoon into evening brings the main event: the sun dropping straight into the water. A delivered chair-and-umbrella setup makes an ideal front-row seat for the sunset.

Do I need to book beach gear delivery in advance?

It's a good idea, especially in season (roughly December through April) and on weekends, when slots and delivery zones fill up. Most operators prefer at least a day's notice. Last-minute delivery is sometimes possible but not guaranteed, so reserve ahead and confirm the drop-off time and what's included.
