Naples Itineraries
The hardest part of Naples isn't finding things to do — it's fitting them into the days you've got. So we drew the routes for you: ready-made plans for one day, a weekend, a romance, the kids, or three slow days on the Paradise Coast.
Updated June 2026
There's a version of this town for almost everyone — beach bums, foodies, couples chasing a sunset, families with sandy kids — and the trick is knowing which corners to string together with the hours you actually have. That's what these itineraries are: real routes we'd hand a friend, beach to downtown to the Gulf-front sunset, with the timing already worked out.
Pick the plan that matches your trip below and follow it start to finish, or borrow the bits you like and skip the rest. And if your trip doesn't fit a template — three and a half days, a wedding tagged on, a crew that can't agree — build your own day-by-day plan with our trip planner instead. Either way, the goal is the same: more time with your toes in the sand, less time staring at a map.
Pick your Naples trip
Five routes for five kinds of visit — each one a full plan, not a list. Tap in and follow along.
One Perfect Day
Beach, downtown, a garden and a Gulf-front sunset — the single day we'd give anyone who has just twelve hours in Naples.
A Weekend in Naples
The classic two-day route: sugar-white sand in the mornings, the palm-lined main street after lunch, a cruise and that famous sunset each night.
A Romantic Weekend
Two unhurried days for couples — a sunset that ends in the water, a candlelit table on Fifth, a slow spa afternoon and a quiet beach.
Naples With Kids
A family route built for short legs and big eyes: a gentle beach, the zoo, a dolphin cruise and ice cream worked in where it belongs.
Three Days on the Paradise Coast
Beaches and downtown, then a day trip to Marco Island or the Everglades, then gardens and a farewell cruise — a long weekend without rushing.

Common questions
How many days do you need in Naples, Florida?
Most visitors find two to three days hits the sweet spot — enough for the beaches, downtown Fifth Avenue South, a sunset cruise and a day trip, without rushing. A single perfect day works if you're on a layover or visiting from nearby, and three full days lets you add Marco Island or the Everglades.
Which Naples itinerary should I choose?
Pick by your trip: One Perfect Day for a single day or first visit, A Weekend in Naples for a standard two-day getaway, A Romantic Weekend for couples, Naples With Kids for families, and Three Days on the Paradise Coast for a longer stay. If none fit exactly, our trip planner builds a custom day-by-day plan.
Can I build my own custom Naples itinerary?
Yes. Our trip planner at /plan lets you pick your vibe, how many days you have and who's coming, then builds a day-by-day plan of real Naples beaches, restaurants and things to do. Every stop links to a full guide, so you can read up and swap anything you don't love.
What is the best time of year to visit Naples?
Naples shines in the dry winter season, roughly November through April, with warm sunny days, lower humidity and the stone crab harvest (mid-October to early May). It's also the busiest and priciest stretch. Summer is hot, humid and stormy but quieter and cheaper, with warm Gulf water for swimming.
Why do all the itineraries end with the sunset?
Naples faces due west onto the Gulf of Mexico, so the sun sets straight over the water — that's why Naples sunsets are famous. Our plans save the beach or a sunset cruise for the end of the day so you finish on the headline act. The Naples Pier area is a classic free viewing spot, though the historic pier itself is being rebuilt after recent hurricanes, so check the City of Naples for its current status.
