If Fifth Avenue is the town's living room, Third Street South is its memory. This is where Naples started shopping back in the 1930s, and the few blocks have kept their old soul: low historic buildings, antique fountains, gas lamps that flicker on at dusk, and shady courtyards you only find by ducking down an alley. It's quieter than Fifth, a touch more upscale, and all the lovelier for it.
It suits slow mornings and unhurried evenings best, the kind of afternoon you spend wandering galleries with an espresso and no real plan. Park once and you can fold it into a day in Old Naples, or walk the few minutes over to Fifth Avenue South when you want more buzz. The beach and the Pier sit just a couple of blocks west.
